Case Description
In the city of Kansk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, in September 2024, a 25-year-old local resident, Ivan Shcherbakov, was detained. After a month and a half, he was charged with treason. According to the security forces, Shcherbakov made two money transfers to Ukraine. For the duration of the investigation, the defendant was sent to a pre-trial detention center. On October 6, 2025, the Krasnoyarsk Regional Court found Ivan Shcherbakov guilty and sentenced him to 12 years in a strict regime penal colony and 1 year of restriction of freedom.
