Case Description
In Perm in May 2022, a criminal case was opened against 17-year-old local resident Ivan Legotkin for "calls for extremist activity. According to law enforcement's version, on February 27, 2022, the young man wrote in the chat of the Telegram channel "Perm 36.6" a message wishing that "the Russian people would rise up en masse against the authorities." It is unknown whether a preventive measure has been chosen. Most likely, the young man was able to leave the country, as he was put on the wanted list. After an additional examination, the comments were found to contain "signs of incitement to commit violent acts, rebellion, and opposition to Vladimir Putin." 4. After this, a criminal case was opened against Legotkin for "calls for terrorism. Ivan publicly discussed the war and expressed his negative attitude towards it. At the same time, he noted: 'When I declare that there is no point in peaceful rallies and it is necessary to take up bats, I am called a provocateur.'
