Case Description
On August 27, 2024, in Izhevsk, republican FSB officers detained 43-year-old local resident, Ukrainian citizen Ivan Kravchuk. He was accused of participating in a terrorist organization and hooliganism, by a group of persons by prior conspiracy. According to the investigation, on August 26, 2024, Kravchuk and his civil wife Svetlana Glazirina had a conflict due to the fact that Glazirina's brother Yuri Dzyuba had not been returning the car registered to her by the family couple for a long time. During the conflict, Ivan slapped Svetlana, after which Yuri, his wife Irina, and "two guys" came to him "for a talk." Dzyuba demanded that Kravchuk pack his things and leave the house. During the argument, Kravchuk took a rifle and pointed it at his opponents. Kravchuk himself claims that he called the police several times, where he was told that they "could not help in any way. After a quarrel, he left home and was detained at a rented apartment. Law enforcement officers found correspondence with the "Russian Volunteer Corps" in a man's mobile phone, in which he discussed with their representatives the possibility of traveling to Ukraine, as well as received a diagram of an aerostat. Kravchuk explained his correspondence with 'RDK' as a desire to go to his hometown of Lviv, where his father lives, suffering from a prolonged illness. On August 28, 2024, the court placed the defendant in custody.
