Case Description
In the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, no later than May 2025, two 15-year-old local residents, Ismail Umakhanov and Tamerlan Shosukov, were detained. They were accused of preparing to commit a terrorist act by a group of persons by prior conspiracy and undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities. According to the investigation, from June 2024 to May 2025, the teenagers, being supporters of a terrorist organization banned in Russia, studied specialized literature and instructions in a closed Telegram channel." "IN MAY 2025 IN MOZDOK THEY ACQUIRED COMPONENTS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF A HOMEMADE EXPLOSIVE DEVICE, WHICH THEY STORED IN THEIR PLACES OF RESIDENCE WITH THE AIM OF SUBSEQUENTLY CARRYING OUT A TERRORIST ATTACK AGAINST LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS. At the request of the investigation, the defendants in the case were remanded in custody.
