Case Description
On the night of March 20, 2024, in Kirov, 23-year-old local resident Irina Pletneva approached the building of the local government, smashed a window with a hammer, threw a Molotov cocktail inside, and also threw in a pack of firecrackers. A fire broke out on an area of 0.5 sq. m., no one was hurt. The fire that broke out was quickly extinguished, and the girl was detained. As she explained to the police, shortly before the arson, she had transferred 4 million rubles to fraudsters. They promised to return the money if she fulfilled their requirements. A criminal case was initiated against the woman for committing a terrorist act and undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities. The court placed the defendant in the case in a remand prison.
