Case Description
In March 2023, 45-year-old Ukrainian citizen Irina Koroleva was detained in the city of Antratsyt in the occupied Luhansk region. She was accused of espionage. According to the Russian investigation, the Ukrainian woman "collected information about the locations of Russian army units participating in the SVO. She also transmitted information about places of mass gathering of city residents." The woman was sent to a pre-trial detention center. No later than July 18, 2025, the Supreme Court of the Luhansk People's Republic found Irina Koroleva guilty and sentenced her to 15 years in a general regime penal colony.
