Case Description
In the city of Tuapse, Krasnodar Krai, no later than December 2024, a criminal case was opened against 30-year-old local resident Ilya Yuzhakov for 'fakes' about the Russian army. According to the investigation, in May 2022, the defendant posted a "message, as well as video materials" in the city community "Tuapse" with information about the "multiple missile and artillery strikes" carried out by the Russian army against the civilian population in the city of Bucha. There is no information about the chosen preventive measure. On February 19, 2025, the Tuapse City Court found Ilya Yuzhakov guilty and sentenced him to 3 years of compulsory labor. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
