Case Description
In the Tyumen region, no later than April 2024, a local 23-year-old resident Ilya Trofimov was detained. He was accused of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization, participating in a terrorist community, and preparing to commit a terrorist act by a group of persons. The details of the charges are unknown. The defendant in the case is in a pre-trial detention center during the investigation. On September 12, 2025, the Central Military District Court found Ilya Trofimov guilty and sentenced him to 18 years in prison, the first 5 years he must serve in prison, and the remaining term in a strict regime colony. December 10, 2025, the Appellate Military Court left the sentence unchanged.
