Case Description
A 42-year-old local resident Ilya Kuzmichev was detained in Ivanovo no later than April 2025. He was accused of public calls to carry out terrorist activities on the Internet.
According to the FSB version, Kuzmichev posted publications with calls for terrorist activities in a publicly available Telegram channel. The messages contained threats against a Russian statesman.
There is no information about the measure of restraint.
On June 18, 2025, the 2nd Western District Military Court found Ilya Kuzmichev guilty and sentenced him to 2 years' imprisonment in a general regime colony. The court also imposed an additional punishment in the form of a ban on website administration for 2 years.
On October 9, 2025, the Military Court of Appeal changed the sentence, details are unknown.
