Case Description
On April 14, 2023, in Kaliningrad, a 19-year-old Ukrainian citizen, student Ilya Gibeskula, was detained. He tried to leave for Poland through the Kaliningrad region, but Polish border guards refused to let the young man through; he was detained by Russian border guards. The next day, a protocol on an administrative offense of petty hooliganism was drawn up on Gibeskul. According to the version of the security forces, on April 14, 2023, at around 23:50, Gibeskul, being in a public place near house No. 11 b on st. Lukashova in the city of Kaliningrad, used rude obscene language, did not respond to remarks from citizens, violating public order and expressing obvious disrespect for society." "On the same day, Judge Tatiana Kholonina of the Central District Court of Kaliningrad arrested Gibeskul for 14 days. The Telegram channel 'Search for the Missing,' dedicated to finding Ukrainian citizens who disappeared during the Russian invasion, reported on the disappearance of a young man in March 2022. Subsequently, he and his father ended up on the lists of forcibly deported Ukrainians. On February 28, 2024, Judge Alexander Shabalin of the Baltic Fleet Military Court of the Kaliningrad Region found Ilya Gibeskula guilty and sentenced him to a fine of 500 thousand." rubles.
