Case Description
In January 2024, it became known that former vice president of Gazprombank Igor Volobuiev was put on the wanted list under a criminal article. A criminal case was opened against him on charges of high treason and participation in the activities of a terrorist community. The details of the charges are unknown. On August 1, 2024, the Lefortovo District Court of Moscow issued a warrant for Volobuieva's arrest in absentia. The period of arrest will be calculated from the moment he crosses the state border of the Russian Federation and is handed over to the convoy service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, or from the moment of detention on the territory of the Russian Federation. Volobuiev was placed on the international wanted list. Volobuyev openly supported Kyiv, spoke negatively about the war, and joined a unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
