Case Description
No later than early February 2024, Igor Mozgo, a 36-year-old Ukrainian citizen, was detained in the occupied part of the Luhansk region. He was accused of participating in a terrorist community. The reason for the criminal prosecution was service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the nationalist "Azov" battalion, recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia. On July 24, 2024, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don found Igor Mozgo guilty and sentenced him to 5 years and 6 months in a general regime colony. On December 2, 2024, the Appellate Military Court left the verdict unchanged.
