Case Description
In parallel with the charge of treason, at least two more criminal cases were opened against Kosilov - for calls to extremism and terrorism: on January 22, 2025, he was included in the list of Rosfinmonitoring as involved in a terrorist crime. Details of this accusation are also unknown. On September 7, 2023, Igor Kosilov, a 31-year-old local resident, was detained in Vladivostok. He was accused of treason. According to Kosilov himself, after the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, he fully sided with Ukraine - he argued on social networks about the war, because of which he came to the attention of the FSB. Under the guise of Ukrainian intelligence, an FSB officer made contact with him, and Kosilov sent him certain information that "is already in the public domain, after which he was detained. At the request of the investigation, the court placed the man in custody. June 11, 2025, the Primorsky Regional Court found Igor Kosilov guilty and sentenced him to 13 years in a strict regime colony. On September 12, 2025, the Fifth Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction left the verdict unchanged.
