Case Description
In Moscow in June 2022 (the exact date is unknown), former adviser to the Russian embassy in France, diplomat Igor Kondratsky, was detained. According to the investigation, Kondratsky passed information constituting a state secret to a representative of a foreign state. It is not exactly known which country the information was passed to. However, the Moscow Times publication previously noted that Kondratsky was in Ukraine shortly before the criminal prosecution, and he himself is a native of Kyiv. Lefortovo District Court of Moscow sent Kondratsky to the SIZO. On February 16, 2024, the Moscow City Court found Igor Kondratzky Igor guilty and sentenced him to 18 years in prison, to be served in a strict regime colony, and a 2-year restriction of freedom. Moreover, the court deprived Kondratsky of his military rank - he was a reserve colonel. On May 15, 2024, the First Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction upheld the verdict.
