Case Description
In April 2023, a criminal case was opened against local resident German Yevdokimov in Belgorod for justifying terrorism. The reason for the criminal prosecution was a comment that German wrote at the beginning of March 2022, while in Africa, under a video about the strike on the Belgorod oil depot in 2022: "Ukrainians are cool - they flew in, worked, flew away. Maybe now many will think about what army they called the strongest in the world, and that if this army were at least a quarter as strong as the US Army, it would have been impossible to bomb our oil depot. During the investigation, Evdokimov was placed in a remand prison. December 26, 2023, the 2nd Western Military Court found German Yevdokimov guilty and sentenced him to a fine of 300 thousand. rubles. February 19, 2024, the Appellate Military Court left the sentence unchanged.
