Partsvaniya Georgiy (გიორგი ფარცვანია)

In the Belgorod region, a criminal case was initiated in absentia against 35-year-old Georgian citizen Giorgi Partsvania no later than September 2025. He was accused of mercenarism, committing a terrorist act as part of an organized group, as well as illegal trafficking and smuggling of weapons, ammunition, and explosive devices, and illegal crossing of the state border. According to the Russian investigation, in April 2014, Partsvania arrived in Ukraine and joined the "Georgian National Legion" on a paid basis to participate in hostilities against the power structures of the DNR and LNR, receiving over 1.8 million rubles by early 2017. In February 2024, he rejoined the legion, and in May 2024, he transferred to the "Sukhumi" unit. From June 1, 2024, to September 19, 2025, Partsvania served under contract in one of the units of the territorial defense of Ukraine, participating in battles against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and receiving over 3.57 million rubles during this period. In August 2025, he, as part of a group, illegally crossed the border into the Belgorod region and attacked the village of Poroz in the Graivoron district, after which he returned to Ukrainian territory. On December 11, 2025, the 2nd Western District Military Court found Giorgi Partsvania guilty in absentia and sentenced him to 28 years of imprisonment, with the first 9 years to be served in prison and the remaining part in a strict regime penal colony, along with a fine of 2 million rubles.
