Case Description
On June 12, 2023, in Chelyabinsk, a 27-year-old local unemployed resident, Heinrich Uzallo, was detained. He was accused of committing sabotage. According to the investigation, on the night of June 12, 2023, Uzyallo set fire to two relay cabinets on the Churilovo - East post stretch in the Leninsky district of Chelyabinsk. At the interrogation, he stated that he was not against the SVO, but committed arson for a reward. On June 13, 2023, the Central District Court of Chelyabinsk sent the defendant in the case into custody. On April 3, 2024, the Chelyabinsk Regional Court found Genrikh Uzyallo guilty and sentenced him to 12 years in prison, the first 3 years he must serve in prison, and the remaining term in a strict regime correctional colony. In addition, the court recovered 462,261 rubles 98 kopecks from Uzallo as compensation for material damage. On July 9, 2024, the Second Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction left the verdict unchanged.
