Case Description
The head of the Ukrainian First Volunteer Mobile Hospital, Gennady Druzenko, stated live on the FREEDOM TV project that he ordered doctors to castrate wounded Russian soldiers. Within just a few hours, Druzenko stated that his words about the castration of Russian military soldiers were emotional. June 17, 2024, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow found Gennady Druzenko guilty and sentenced him in absentia to 5 years and 6 months in prison, to be served in a general regime correctional colony, as well as deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to the administration of websites of electronic or information and telecommunications networks, including the Internet, for 2 years and 6 months. The term of serving the punishment in the form of imprisonment is calculated from the moment of Druzenko's extradition to the territory of the Russian Federation, or from the moment of detention on the territory of the Russian Federation.
