Case Description
In Pravdinsk, Kaliningrad Oblast, no later than February 2025, a criminal case was opened against 56-year-old postal worker Yevgenia Kumpan. She was accused of public calls for activities aimed against state security, motivated by political and ideological hatred. According to the investigation, in March 2024, Kumpan, while at home in the city, left a comment on a Telegram channel post about the production of Geran drones: "Blow up the factories, damn it." Thus, she publicly called for the commission of sabotage. There is no information about the measure of restraint. On August 18, 2025, the Pravdinsky District Court of the Kaliningrad Region found Evgenia Kumpan guilty and sentenced her to 3 years and 2 months in prison in a general regime colony, with a ban on engaging in activities related to publishing information on the Internet for 3 years. Details are unknown, but on October 28, 2025, the Kaliningrad Regional Court changed the verdict.
