Case Description
In the city of Rezh in the Sverdlovsk region, a criminal case was opened against 48-year-old local resident Evgeny Shustikov no later than August 2025. He was accused of participating in the activities of an extremist organization. According to the investigation, from December 6, 2024 to August 8, 2025, Shustikov participated in the activities of a cell of the banned public association "USSR, which promotes violent change of the constitutional order, ideas of the illegitimacy of state authorities, and obstruction of their lawful activities. There is no information about the measure of restraint. In January 2026, the criminal case was sent to the Rezh city court of the Sverdlovsk region. The prosecutor asked the court to release Yevgeny Shustikov from criminal liability and apply compulsory medical measures to him.
