Ryapolov Evgeniy Dmitrievich

5 December 2023 in Novosibirsk, military commissariat officers from the October district and the Central administrative district discovered a multicooker with an explosive device during a night patrol. Standing on the windowsill on the street side, there was a timer powered by a battery, wires with a filament at the end, as well as gray powder inside. On December 12, 2023, Yevgeny Ryapolov, a 27-year-old resident of Berdsk, was detained on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack. According to the security forces, during a search of Ryapolov's apartment, a container with saltpeter, a bag of hexogen and three electric detonators were found. Ryapolov did not agree with the charges, stating that the explosives were planted by FSB officers. He was placed in a pre-trial detention center. On September 16, 2024, the 2nd Eastern Military District Court found Yevgeny Ryapolov guilty and sentenced him to 13 years in a strict regime colony. Ryapolov will spend the first three years in prison, the rest of the sentence in a strict regime colony. On February 20, 2025, the Appellate Military Court upheld the verdict.
