Case Description
In the village of Vanino, Khabarovsk Krai, no later than January 2025, 41-year-old local resident Yevgeny Kravchenko was detained. He was accused of treason and public calls for terrorism. According to the investigation, in January 2025, Kravchenko established contact with representatives of Ukraine and sent them video recordings of the transportation of military personnel and military equipment by rail via the internet. According to the FSB, these videos could have been used for sabotage and terrorist activities. In addition, the defendant published comments in a Telegram channel containing calls for terrorist activities. The man was placed in a pre-trial detention center for the duration of the investigation. On September 29, 2025, the 1st Eastern Military District Court found Yevgeny Kravchenko guilty and sentenced him to 14 years of imprisonment in a strict regime penal colony, 1 year of restriction of freedom, and a 2-year ban on engaging in activities related to posting materials on the internet.
