Case Description
In the Tula region, no later than November 2023, a criminal case of treason was opened against 35-year-old Yevgeny Bondarenko, a native of the city of Khyriv in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine. Details of the charges and the date of detention are unknown. Bondarenko was remanded in custody by the court for the duration of the investigation. On March 27, 2024, the 2nd Western Military District Court found Yevgeny Bondarenko guilty and sentenced him to 18 years in a strict regime colony. On July 2, 2024, the Appellate Military Court upheld the verdict.
