Case Description
In Tomsk, no later than the end of November 2023 (the exact date is unknown), a criminal case was opened for repeated "discrediting the army" against 48-year-old local resident, drawing teacher Elvira Tolstova. It is unknown what became the reason for the criminal prosecution. During the investigation, Tolstoy was placed in custody. Earlier, in April 2022, Tolstov was charged in a case of an administrative offense under the article on discrediting the army due to participation in an anti-war action on March 6. Leninsky District Court of Tomsk found Elvira Tolstova guilty on December 26, 2023. The size of the punishment is unknown. It is known that the sentence does not involve imprisonment - the woman was released from custody in the courtroom. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
