Case Description
In the Saratov region, a criminal case on financing the activities of an international non-governmental organization, recognized as undesirable in Russia, was opened against a local resident, Russian and US citizen Elena Moiseenko. The date of her detention is unknown.
According to the investigation, Moiseenko, sharing the ideology of the international public movement ALLATRA, was its participant and provided financial support to the movement. Knowing that in August 2023 the organization was recognized as undesirable in Russia, not later than August 22, 2023, Moiseenko formed the intention to further provide funds to representatives of this structure. According to the law enforcers, between July 10, 2024, Moiseenko transferred a total of 23,500 rubles from her bank account via a mobile application to two persons who collected money for the needs of the movement and its Saratov branch. According to the prosecution's version, the defendant financed an organization whose activists are engaged in discrediting government policy and disseminating false information about the actions of the Russian Armed Forces.
During the investigation, Moiseenko was under a covenant of non-departure and proper behavior.
On August 7, 2025 the Tatishchevsky District Court of the Saratov Region found Elena Moiseenko guilty and sentenced her to 240 hours of compulsory labor. The sentence was not appealed and came into legal force.
