Case Description
In Volzhsk, Republic of Mari El, a criminal case was initiated against a 34-year-old local resident Egor Kuznetsov. The date of his detention is unknown. He was accused of financing an extremist organization. According to the investigation, from August 5, 2021, to February 19, 2022, Kuznetsov made seven transfers of 100 rubles each, totaling 700 rubles, to the "Anti-Corruption Foundation" of Alexei Navalny, knowing that the organization had been recognized as extremist. There is no information about the measure of restraint. On February 12, 2025, the Volzhsky City Court of the Republic of Mari El found Egor Kuznetsov guilty and sentenced him to a fine of 200 thousand rubles. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
