Case Description
On June 23, 2023, in the village of Togur, Kolpashevsky District, Tomsk Oblast, 32-year-old local resident Egor Ivchenko, previously repeatedly convicted, was detained. A criminal case was initiated against him for public calls for terrorism and extremism. According to the investigation, Ivchenko "posted comments on the internet calling for violent actions against representatives of state authorities, as well as employees of law enforcement agencies." It is unknown whether a preventive measure has been chosen. On June 17, 2024, the Central Military District Court found Egor Ivchenko guilty and sentenced him to five years and six months in a strict regime colony. The court also deprived the resident of Tomsk of the right to engage in activities related to the administration of websites and channels for three years. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
