Case Description
In early November 2025, 35-year-old local resident Egor Gulyaev was detained in St. Petersburg. He was accused of spreading "fakes" about the Russian army motivated by political or ideological hatred, in three episodes. According to the version of the security forces, the man repeatedly posted on a social network in open free access information containing knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. What exactly the man wrote is not reported. On November 7, 2025, the court placed the defendant in the case in a pre-trial detention center at the request of the investigation.
