Case Description
On the night of August 2, 2023, at 2 a.m., an unknown man threw two bottles with an incendiary mixture through the window of the military enlistment office building on Pavlova Street in Nakhodka and fled. One of them did not get inside, the second broke the glass on the first floor, but did not catch fire. On the same day, 52-year-old sailor of the Port Fleet company Eduard Ovcharenko was detained on charges of arson. Law enforcement claims that he gave incriminating testimony. A criminal case was opened against the sailor for attempted destruction of another's property. The Nakhodka City Court placed Ovcharenko under house arrest.
