Case Description
On July 5, 2025, in Tula, 35-year-old Eduard Gartman, a resident of St. Petersburg, was detained. He was taken to the Sovetsky Department of the Tula City Police Department, where a report on an administrative offense under the article on petty hooliganism was drawn up against him. In April 2023, a post contained an image and text: 'A year ago, the Russian Armed Forces struck the railway station in Kramatorsk, where hundreds of civilians were waiting for the opportunity to evacuate.' On July 7, 2025, Judge Tatyana Shutenkova of the Sovetsky District Court of Tula sentenced Gartman to 10 days of administrative arrest. After serving his sentence, the man was detained again. He was accused of preparing to commit a terrorist act and aiding terrorism. According to the security forces, Gartman allegedly provided "assistance" to an organization linked to Ukraine and recognized as terrorist on the territory of the Russian Federation. The details of the charges are unknown. On July 17, 2025, the defendant in the case was placed in a pre-trial detention center.
