Case Description
In the city of Krasnoperekopsk in the annexed Republic of Crimea, no later than January 2024, a criminal case was opened against 54-year-old local resident Eduard Asanov for participating in an illegal armed formation. According to the Russian investigation, the Crimean is involved in the activities of the Ukrainian illegal armed formation "Battalion named after. Nomana Chelebijikhan's. On July 22, 2024, the Krasnoperekopsky District Court of the Republic of Crimea found Eduard Asanov guilty and sentenced him to 8.5 years in a strict regime colony, with the first 3 years to be served in prison.
