Case Description
In the occupied Donetsk region, a criminal case was opened regarding the participation in an armed conflict against a citizen of the United States of America, Jennifer Ann Mulli. The date of the case being opened is unknown. According to the Russian investigation, from October 2022 to February 2025, Mulli arrived in the territory of Ukraine, where she voluntarily joined the International Legion as a mercenary. At training bases, she underwent military training aimed at acquiring skills in handling combat weapons, learning strategy, tactics, and methods of conducting combat operations. Mulli was also provided with personal firearms, ammunition, uniforms, and special equipment, and she participated in combat operations against servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. It is claimed that during her service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the servicemember received a reward of more than 1.5 million rubles. At the request of the investigation, the court in absentia chose a measure of restraint for Mulli in the form of detention. She was placed on the international wanted list. The Supreme Court of the Donetsk People's Republic found Jennifer Ann Mulli guilty and in absentia sentenced her to 14 years of imprisonment to be served in a general regime correctional colony. On September 11, 2025, the First Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction left the verdict unchanged.
