Case Description
18-year-old local resident Dmitry Vasyurenko was detained in the Stavropol Territory on March 5, 2022. He was accused of participating in the activities of an extremist organization. According to the prosecution's version, while still a minor, Vasyaurenko swore allegiance to representatives of the Ukrainian organization 'Right Sector', after which he was given a call sign. In the interests of the organization, he planned to collect and transmit personal data of employees of law enforcement agencies and local self-government bodies for monetary compensation. The young man was sent into custody. On June 17, 2022, the Kochubeyevsky District Court of the Stavropol Territory found Dmitry Vasyurenko guilty and sentenced him to 1 year of imprisonment in a general regime correctional colony. October 19, 2022, the Stavropol Krai Court changed the verdict in the part of the decision on material evidence. The rest of the sentence was left unchanged.
