Case Description
On July 12, 2024, Dmitry Nefyodov, a 39-year-old local resident, was detained in the city of Kolomna, Moscow region. According to the security forces, four hours before his detention, the man allegedly broke into the parking lot near the Kolychevsky police department, set fire to a service "Ford", and then fled. The car exploded, the fire spread to two neighboring ones. As a result, the Ford and the UAZ Hunter burned out completely, while the Patriot was partially scorched. No one was hurt. During the interrogation, Dmitry allegedly stated that Ukrainian fraudsters who first stole his money and then promised to return it after the arson made him attack the precinct. A criminal case was initiated against Nefyodov on charges of terrorism committed by an organized group, resulting in significant property damage. The court sent him to a pre-trial detention center.
