Case Description
In Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Krai, no later than March 2024, 20-year-old local resident Dmitry Levin was detained. He was accused of treason and participation in the activities of a terrorist organization. According to the investigation, between January 19 and March 28, 2024, Levin contacted representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the "Russian Volunteer Corps. The man allegedly collected information about the activities of the navy, the number and location of warships, vessels in the port, the deployment of a military unit and administrative buildings in Novorossiysk, the location of a military airfield in the Krasnodar Territory and the method of its protection, which he sent to representatives of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and "RDK. Levine also gathered information about the activities of the Russian Navy in the waters of Novorossiysk's Tsemess Bay and took photographs of naval equipment with indications of its geographical coordinates, which he sent to representatives of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and "RDK. The court placed the defendant in a pre-trial detention center. On March 6, 2025, the Southern District Military Court found Dmitry Levin guilty and sentenced him to 15 years in a strict regime penal colony, with the first 3 years to be served in prison. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
