Case Description
A criminal case was opened in Bryansk against Dmitry Kalashnikov, a native of Omsk, for disseminating information expressing disrespect for the days of military glory of Russia and desecrating the symbols of military glory of Russia. The date of his detention is unknown. According to the investigation, on January 28, 2025, Kalashnikov posted a text message in a group on one of the messengers expressing negative attitude towards the "special military operation, as well as towards symbols and days of military glory of Russia and memorable dates of the Great Patriotic War. There is no information about the measure of restraint. 2 September 2025, the Bryansk Regional Court sentenced Dmitry Kalashnikov to 8 months of imprisonment in a penal colony-settlement. He was also prohibited from administering websites on the Internet for 3 years. December 15, 2025, the First Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction left the sentence unchanged.
