Case Description
In Uglegorsk, Sakhalin Oblast, no later than December 2023 (the exact date is unknown), a criminal case was opened for repeated "discrediting of the Russian army" against an employee of the local utility services Dmitry Yelistratov. It is unknown what became the reason for the criminal prosecution. As a preventive measure, the Sakhalin resident was chosen to prohibit certain actions. March 1, 2024, Judge Natalia Kazymova of the Uglegorsk City Court of the Sakhalin Region found Dmitry Yelistratov guilty and sentenced him to one year of probation. Esipov was also banned from administering websites for two years. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
