The court sent the case suspect to the pre-trial detention center. On May 29, 2025, the Arkhangelsk Regional Court found the student guilty and sentenced him to nine years in a strict regime, but the prosecutor appealed this decision and in the appeal the case was returned for a new consideration with a re-qualification of the charge to confidential cooperation in treason.
