Case Description
In the Republic of Udmurtia, no later than June 2025, a criminal case was opened against 42-year-old Dmitry Chebakov, who was serving his sentence in the FKU KP-3 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Udmurt Republic. He was accused of repeated public display of Nazi symbols." According to the investigation, no later than March 3, 2025, Chebakov tattooed a swastika on his ankle. On April 8, 2025, the Uvinsky District Court brought him to administrative responsibility for demonstrating this tattoo. Despite this, from April 23 to June 9, 2025, Chebakov, while in the settlement colony, deliberately and systematically demonstrated a tattoo to other convicts. At the time the criminal case was initiated, Chebakov was serving a sentence of imprisonment under another sentence. On September 2, 2025, the Uvinsky District Court of the Udmurt Republic found Dmitry Chebakov guilty and, taking into account the partial joining of the unserved part of the previous sentence, sentenced him to 2 years in prison in a strict regime correctional colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
