Case Description
Dmitry Arkhipov, a 24-year-old local resident, was detained in the Omsk region no later than April 2024. He was accused of assisting in the financing of terrorism and making public calls for terrorist activities. According to the investigation, in January 2024, Arkhipov posted a publication on social media calling for the collection of money to purchase drones for the "Russian Volunteer Corps." He also expressed his intention to join the ranks of armed Ukrainian formations. The defendant in the case was placed in the SIZO. On April 3, 2025, the 2nd Eastern Military District Court in Novosibirsk found Dmitry Arkhipov guilty and sentenced him to 11 years in a strict regime colony, with the first 3 years to be served in prison. He was also banned from posting materials on the internet for 3 years. On September 3, 2025, the Appellate Military Court left the sentence unchanged.
