Case Description
On August 11, 2023, in the city of Stary Krym, Crimean Tatar Dylver Salimov swore obscenely at a gas station attendant because of the letter 'Z' on his cap and demanded that he remove it. this case was recorded on video and published in the telegram channels "Crimean Smersh" and "TalipoV Online" controlled by the Russian security forces. In the video, the man says: "If I see you in this shit again, I'll burn you along with it. Understood? I'll fucking burn you, fuck you!. In the signature under the video, the name and patronymic of Salimov were indicated, and there was a threat of reprisal." On August 16, Salіmov was detained. Administrative protocols were drawn up against him under the article on petty hooliganism and on refusal of a medical examination due to suspicion of alcohol or drug intoxication. On the same day, Simferopol City Court fined Salimov 4 thousand. 5. rubles due to refusal of a medical examination, and Judge Anastasia Bodenko of the Kirovsky District Court of Simferopol issued a decision on the administrative arrest of Salimov for 14 days under the article on petty hooliganism. Salimov claims that law enforcement officers in oral conversations several times demanded that he record public apologies for his actions, which were planned to be published on the Telegram channels "Crimean Smersh" and "Talipov Online, but Salimov refused. On August 23, 2023, a criminal case was opened against Salimov on charges of threatening murder. The security forces once again offered Salimov to record a public apology, which he again refused. On November 1, the charges against Salim were aggravated, accusing the Crimean of making a death threat motivated by hatred. On November 2, Judge Anastasia Bodenko of the Kirovsky District Court of Simferopol sent him to a pre-trial detention center. On April 10, 2024, the Kievsky District Court of the Republic of Crimea found Deluyer Salimov guilty and sentenced him to one year in a penal colony-settlement." The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
