Case Description
In January 2023, the Ministry of State Security of the LNR initiated a criminal case under the Russian Criminal Code for espionage against an OSCE mission employee - the head of the technical monitoring group, a citizen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, David Orrells. He was accused of passing information about the positions of the LPR People's Militia and the location of civilian infrastructure facilities. NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 21, 2023 (exact date unknown) the Supreme Court of the Luhansk People's Republic sentenced David Orrells in absentia to 19 years in prison to be served in a strict regime penal colony. There is no data on appealing the verdict.
