Case Description
In Krasnoyarsk, on November 29, 2023, a local 41-year-old resident, Denis Trufanov, was detained. He was accused of spreading "fakes" about the Russian army out of political hatred. According to the FSB's version, a resident of Krasnoyarsk made several posts on VKontakte from February to November 2022, in which he spread "deliberately false information" about the actions of Russian military personnel in Bucha, Kyiv region. The man was placed in a pre-trial detention center for the duration of the investigation. On July 1, 2024, the Kirovsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk found Denis Trufanov guilty and sentenced him to 5 years in a general regime colony and prohibited him from posting materials on the internet for 3 years. On August 29, 2024, the Krasnoyarsk Regional Court upheld the verdict.
