Case Description
Denis Podgorny, a 20-year-old resident of occupied Kherson and a citizen of Ukraine, was detained in July 2022. In sources it is not reported exactly, but most likely the man was accused of espionage. According to the Russian investigation, one of Podgorny's friends from the city of Nikolaev contacted him and offered him a reward for transmitting data on the location of Russian troops." Denis was supposed to transmit the coordinates of the location of four Russian military facilities, but he was detained before he could send them. The defendant in the case was placed in the SIZO.
