Case Description
In Tomsk, no later than April 2024 (the exact date is unknown), a criminal case was initiated for justifying terrorism against 38-year-old local resident Denis Orlov. According to the investigation, the man, under an anonymous account in Telegram, left a positive comment about the bombing of Russian war correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky, carried out on April 2, 2023, by Daria Trepova in a cafe on Universitetskaya Embankment in St. Petersburg. It is unknown whether a preventive measure has been chosen. 16 September 2024 the 2nd Eastern Military District Court found Denis Orlov guilty and sentenced him to a fine of 500 thousand. rubles and a ban on using the Internet for 1 year.
