Case Description
On March 12, 2024, a criminal case for justifying terrorism was initiated in Moscow against 20-year-old student Denis Yeroshin. The reason for the criminal prosecution was posts in an anti-war chat on Telegram. 15 March 2024, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow sent Yeroshin to a pre-trial detention center. On March 7, 2025, the 2nd Western Military District Court found Denis Yeroshin guilty and sentenced him to 3.5 years in a general regime penal colony. June 4, 2025, the Appellate Military Court left the sentence unchanged.
