Then the border guard said that he would not be able to fly on a Ukrainian document, and Yefimov was taken to an interrogation room. All this time, the father unsuccessfully searched for Danil. At the police station, they told him that his son was not with them. Only after a day did the police admit that the young man was in a detention facility. After 13 days, at the exit from the police station, Danila was detained again. On January 11, 2024, the same judge sentenced him to another 10 days of administrative arrest for hooliganism in the city center. A few days later, Danila was taken to the office of the police department, where several masked men beat him. Unknown individuals wanted the young man to sign a confession: 'We'll take you to the forest and kill you if you don't sign.'" 5. Efimov refused to sign the documents. January 15, 2024, Danila was escorted to Rostov-on-Don, where he was charged with treason. According to the FSB, the money allegedly transferred by Efimov was intended to purchase weapons, UAVs, radios, and trawls for demining vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The court sent Efimov into custody for the duration of the investigation. On July 2, 2024, the Rostov Regional Court found Danila Yefimov guilty and sentenced him to 12 years in a strict regime colony and 1 year of restriction of freedom.
