Case Description
In Mariupol, occupied Donetsk region, no later than September 2024, a criminal case was opened against Daniil Vinokurov for confidential cooperation with a foreign state and illegal handling of explosives. According to the FSB's version, Vinokurov, while on Ukrainian territory, allegedly conspired with foreign intelligence service employees to assist them in activities knowingly directed against the security of the Russian Federation. Due to this, in September 2023, he arrived in the city of Mariupol, where he collected information about the area and objects located on the territory of the city, which he passed on to the Ukrainian special services. In addition, Vinokurov allegedly organized a cache for storing components of an improvised explosive device in one of the buildings." Later he moved them to the place where he lived. The FSB detained the man. The court sent the defendant in the case into custody. On November 26, 2024, the Supreme Court of the Donetsk Republic found Daniil Vinokurov guilty and sentenced him to 11 years in a strict regime colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
