Case Description
On January 28, 2025, in the Moscow region, 14-year-old Daniil Rogozhin was detained. Initially, he was accused of damaging someone else's property, but the charge was later reclassified as committing a terrorist act. According to the investigation, Rogozhin, on the instructions of telephone scammers who posed as special services employees, threw a bottle with an incendiary mixture into the building of the district administration of Vnukovo in Moscow and set fire to a relay cabinet. The scammers convinced the teenager that his parents were in danger and that his actions would help catch the criminals. January 30, 2025, the Dorogomilovsky District Court of Moscow sent the defendant in the case to a pre-trial detention center. At the end of December 2025, Rogozhin was released from custody because the case was dropped after receiving the results of a psychological and psychiatric examination. He spent 11 months in a pre-trial detention center.
