Case Description
Daniel Galitsky, a 23-year-old student, was detained in St. Petersburg no later than February 2024. He was accused of treason and publicly justifying terrorism. According to the investigation, Galitsky financed the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The details of the charges are unknown. The man was placed in custody. On May 19, 2025, the 1st Western Military District Court found Daniil Galitsky guilty and sentenced him to 13 years of imprisonment in a strict regime colony. October 8, 2025, the Appellate Military Court upheld the sentence.
